Sure of Something

It's never hurt so bad

To be as sure of something

As I was tonight

When I said I was moving on

And would not return

I would think that finally being free

From the tortures of the past

Would feel so much better

Than it does

Sometimes I think we become

More attached to certain kinds of pain

Than we do to happiness

It doesn't make sense

That you can be 100% sure

You made the right decision

And yet still feel

So terrible inside
