Money of Us

I am not a person with pretty money. I have a dream that someday I become a rich person. But how could ordinary people like me will be a rich person someday? Nobody knows. Life is changing every day. We are getting old and wrinkle. Somebody is rich today, but he might be poor tomorrow. I just make a wish I became a rich, old, and wise in the next day. Do I put my expectation so high? I just thought that have enough money make me feel happy. But the question is “How much money somebody should have to make him happy?”

Poverty can turn a good person became bad; romantic husband became violence person; a good boy became criminal. Luxury of life, consumerist of modern lifestyle, jealousy and envy about average life, makes human tried to commercializing everything. To be or not to be (rich)! Modest life is not our lifestyle today, but lavish one. There is no enough money to all of us. “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed” Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) ever said.

US$ 100,000 Dollar Notes. Yes it is real. The Federal Reserve used it to transfer money. They were last printed in 1945 and have since been discontinued.

Poverty of Us: One Dollar a Day

What is poverty anyway? World Bank said that poverty is people who living below international poverty line of $1.25 per day. How much are people who live with one dollar a day? World Bank estimation is around 1.8 billion people. About 70 person of global poverty is in Asia. You maybe shock to know that 900 million hungry Asian are trying to get on less than US$1 a day. What you can buy with one dollar for your family?

I admit that I am not a person with one dollar a day. I am Asian people and have a family. I work for one company with around US$300 per month. Do you think this is a big money? I should gratitude about it because poverty is common picture in my country Indonesia. Many people only earn 1-2 dollar a day and just enough to buy staple food. I hope you grateful with your work and life with all you have gave to your family.

But sometimes I do sad when my salary is not enough for a month.

When I am jobless, I admit that I am afraid, but I said to myself that yesterday is the past, tomorrow is the future, and today is a gift. I gratitude for what I have in this simple life. I pray and thanks for all think I got in life. Pardon me, I am not a preacher. I just told you what I feel about worried when I do not have enough money.
