Yesterday,Today and Tomorrow.
This hub came about through various avenues and I will explain.
A few months back I got back in touch with two school teachers of mine ;however before I go any further Alan and Kay have always been more than just teachers. Alan being my Form and French teacher while his wife Kay was my English teacher.
Back to when I was 12 years old it was to Kay that I disclosed the vile abuse that I was suffering at home.
Their care and love they gave after this was priceless and they will both have a very special place in my heart.
Sadly today Alan suffers from Altzeimmers, and even though it is in its initial stage at the moment it will sadly escalate as time progresses.
Kay also bless her has her own health problems but is coping brilliantly.
We keep in touch through visits and letter writing ;oh what a joy it is to actually sit down and compose a hand written letter once again in this time of great technology.
She asked to see some of my poems etc. (forever the English teacher) and her first comment after reading was "We never knew you were so talented!!"
This I so greatly appreciate.
Last week she managed to read through them all and left many comments!!! One in particular was to encourage me to write a little more on the suffering and pain of life as my poems on these were the most impressive of all was her comment!!
Ending with a "But not too much of course!!"
She also thought that whatever my situation I would always find positive thoughts!!!
Today's hub also came from a conversation with a neighbour yesterday about a friend of hers having been jilted by her partner and being totally devastated !!!
Maybe you can now feel the thread of today's poems?
I have felt myself changing lately and entering yet another era where I know I am ready to stretch a little further in life ;to push those boundaries a little further once again.
Even though today's hub speaks of sadness this is not a reflection of my life today; it is not a sadness I am feeling but here's hoping it may help someone else who is. !!
Today's song is sung by the wonderful Jahmene Douglas ;so shy and so sincere were each of his performances on the X Factor .
I know in my heart that this young man is going places and I wish him well in all he does.
I hope you enjoy today's hub.
Over the hill and yonder
Lived her beau of yesterday;
A love now truly shattered
The darkness consumed the day.
x
Today so shattered by pain
Many tears are left unshed;
Her spirit so truly ravaged
A broken heart cried and bled.
x
Then the darkness exploded
And the heavens simply to pour;
Washing away the darkness
Tomorrow's heart will soar.
Silent tears form pools of wonder
Waiting for that story untold;
A story told straight from a heart
Much of life's beauty so bold.
x
A healing a soothing balm
Tenderly enveloped her heart;
So cleansed the healing of her soul
Believing right from the start.
x
Walking into tomorrow
With that wondrous positive air;
Amongst that breeze of hope
To share means to care.
x
I step under the Fountain Of Life
Allowing the healing to flow;
Invigorated by life's wonder
Drawing from that golden glow.
Tender memories
Moments to treasure to hold
To share is to care.
To recognise
to grasp
with
fingertips slipping.
Reversing into oblivion
a hold
loose and so unsure .
Fear embedded
gloom envelopes;
too weak
to fight back
energy
fading away!!
Through the doom
and
through the gloom
another lifeline thrown;
a deep felt strength
surfacing
inhaling
that brave flow!!
Grasp and hold on
with all your might;
your heart will again shine;
stand tall and be heard.
Your day you've won
and hold your head high.
I hope you all enjoyed today's hub !!
Our world can never be permanently
cocooned in brightness and happiness!!!
However
the joy and beauty
all round us
is always
far greater
when we once again
emerge
winners .
I solemnly believe that we have to have a little sadness to show and feel the whole worth of happiness and the wonders of the world.
I also believe that we like to share our experiences through life because we care.
Have a wonderful day one and all and lots of love from my little corner of Wales.
