Yesterday,Today and Tomorrow.

Updated on August 22, 2013

This hub came about through various avenues and I will explain.

A few months back I got back in touch with two school teachers of mine ;however before I go any further Alan and Kay have always been more than just teachers. Alan being my Form and French teacher while his wife Kay was my English teacher.

Back to when I was 12 years old it was to Kay that I disclosed the vile abuse that I was suffering at home.

Their care and love they gave after this was priceless and they will both have a very special place in my heart.

Sadly today Alan suffers from Altzeimmers, and even though it is in its initial stage at the moment it will sadly escalate as time progresses.

Kay also bless her has her own health problems but is coping brilliantly.

We keep in touch through visits and letter writing ;oh what a joy it is to actually sit down and compose a hand written letter once again in this time of great technology.

She asked to see some of my poems etc. (forever the English teacher) and her first comment after reading was "We never knew you were so talented!!"

This I so greatly appreciate.

Last week she managed to read through them all and left many comments!!! One in particular was to encourage me to write a little more on the suffering and pain of life as my poems on these were the most impressive of all was her comment!!

Ending with a "But not too much of course!!"

She also thought that whatever my situation I would always find positive thoughts!!!

Today's hub also came from a conversation with a neighbour yesterday about a friend of hers having been jilted by her partner and being totally devastated !!!

Maybe you can now feel the thread of today's poems?

I have felt myself changing lately and entering yet another era where I know I am ready to stretch a little further in life ;to push those boundaries a little further once again.

Even though today's hub speaks of sadness this is not a reflection of my life today; it is not a sadness I am feeling but here's hoping it may help someone else who is. !!

Today's song is sung by the wonderful Jahmene Douglas ;so shy and so sincere were each of his performances on the X Factor .

I know in my heart that this young man is going places and I wish him well in all he does.

I hope you enjoy today's hub.

Over the hill and yonder

Lived her beau of yesterday;

A love now truly shattered

The darkness consumed the day.

Today so shattered by pain

Many tears are left unshed;

Her spirit so truly ravaged

A broken heart cried and bled.

Then the darkness exploded

And the heavens simply to pour;

Washing away the darkness

Tomorrow's heart will soar.

Silent tears form pools of wonder

Waiting for that story untold;

A story told straight from a heart

Much of life's beauty so bold.

A healing a soothing balm

Tenderly enveloped her heart;

So cleansed the healing of her soul

Believing right from the start.

Walking into tomorrow

With that wondrous positive air;

Amongst that breeze of hope

To share means to care.

I step under the Fountain Of Life

Allowing the healing to flow;

Invigorated by life's wonder

Drawing from that golden glow.

Tender memories

Moments to treasure to hold

To share is to care.

To recognise

to grasp

fingertips slipping.

Reversing into oblivion

a hold

loose and so unsure .

Fear embedded

gloom envelopes;

too weak

to fight back

fading away!!

Through the doom

through the gloom

another lifeline thrown;

a deep felt strength

that brave flow!!

Grasp and hold on

with all your might;

your heart will again shine;

stand tall and be heard.

Your day you've won

and hold your head high.

I hope you all enjoyed today's hub !!

Our world can never be permanently

cocooned in brightness and happiness!!!

the joy and beauty

all round us

is always

far greater

when we once again

winners .

I solemnly believe that we have to have a little sadness to show and feel the whole worth of happiness and the wonders of the world.

I also believe that we like to share our experiences through life because we care.

Have a wonderful day one and all and lots of love from my little corner of Wales.

      EXCELLENT work, Eddy, one of your best. I have seen you evolve over the short time that I have been reading your material. Allow those feelings of clarity to take you with them on your journey. The chains lift off, and the beautiful flower continues to unfold. This deserves, clearly, an awesome and up. Evolve, dear Eddy, as the world is your oyster and the sky isn't even your limit.

      Eddy, first off, it takes a lot of courage, not only to speak about it to them then, but also to write about it now. I was never in those shoes, so I can't relate. However, I do commend your courage at an early age. I hope others that may come across this seek help as soon as possible because it's certainly no way to live. Great words of advice and a beautiful poem. Voted up, useful, awesome, beautiful, and shared on FB.

      Your poetry is continuously charming, Eddy, and your images are, too. I am particularly fond of that final graphic with the deep blue sea as the background. Thank you for this treat.

      Thank you for sharing this with us, Eddy. It is stunningly beautiful, and the song set the stage. I have heard the music before, but never listened to the words all of the way through, and have never heard Jahmene Douglas's version. Wow, he sings it better than the original singer does, and that is saying a lot.

      The poem really touched my heart, to the extent that I cried. I read it several times over, and you really do have so much talent. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

      I love your positive attitude, as well as your acknowledgement that sad things happen, and that we share experiences because we care. This is the perfect time for me to read a piece like this, and I am bookmarking it so I can read it again.

      Voted up and sharing.

      Have a wonderful weekend.

      Eddy, how good that you prefaced this poetry with the personal story of Alan and Kay and how big a place they've had in your life! Sad that they have health problems now, but to have meant something so valuable and treasured to someone - you - makes their lives bright as gems!

      Your poetry captures the feelings of knowing anguish and triumphing over it. You are such a shining spirit.

      Yesterday-today-and tomorrow. Sometimes to look back is painful, but we can make it ok today and tomorrow by moving forward and forgiving those who hurt us and for me, loving myself. Thank you Eddy. You are so wise. Love you....

      This must be one of the best comments I have ever had. I know exactly where you are coming from and to explain further : Not just on here but with people general I have become the strong one whom nothing phases!!!

      Maybe I would say something a little sad and I thought people didn't want to hear it so I did clam up and present that strong face only.(the only person who didn't want to see that sad side was ME!!! Now that I am able to do to me is a sign that again I have moved on ; from now on I can share my pain and my tears.

      There is truly no such place as a 'forever happy place'. The reality of the world is different and we are not robots are we.

      Again I say a massive thank you for this comment DJ and oh yes that tea and biscuits are waiting from this moment on.

      Again when you say 'When I write these sad pieces, I am not asking for sympathy' of course we are not we are simply being 'REAL'.

      Here's wishing you a wonderful day and lots of love all the way from Wales.

      Many of my writes convey sadness. The writings have been a

      platform to expose the negative and bring light into those shameful corners. Writing can be cathartic and good for the soul. When I write these sad pieces, I am not asking for sympathy. I am purging the dark from my personal past. I identify with others who have coped with pain and depression. Generally, I am not a sad person. Most know me as the "funny one".

      I agree with your school teacher friend. I have admired your

      works of beauty, but there was something that kept me from relating to you. Even though I knew of the sadness in your past, your positive, up beat writes made me wonder what was wrong with me that I could not seem to attain that

      'forever happy place'.

      This piece makes you a woman with whom I can relate. It

      makes you approachable. You are now my cordial next door neighbor. My friend, we must have tea and biscuits, someday.

      Thank you,
