Any advice to help me get inspired?

I have been having a difficult time coming up with ideas to write and even if I do have an idea I can't seem to get myself to just sit down and finish a hub. Any advice?

well, dont think too much about "what to write" and just write. Whenever I need to write a hub, and I simply cant figure out what I want to write about, I start out by writing down what I've done through out the day. This is just an exercise that helps me get started when I write, and slowly I begin to develop ideas for Hubs, and slowly I start to really write.

    Try it!

When I used to teach writing, I would tell my students to "vomit on the page."  Not a wonderfully picturesque metaphor, I know, but it works.  Just sit down and start writing whatever ridiculous notions you can think of.  If you need to, talk as you write.  That sometimes helps me (much to the consternation of everyone else in the coffee shop).
When all else fails, make a list of topics you are curious about.  Do a quick, 5-minute research project on each one, and see where that leads you.

One thing that always works for me is to get on a bus or train or ferry (public transportation) and let it flow. Either start with an idea and let the forward motion carry you along, or use the ride to watch myriad 'story starters' roll past your window... Unless you get motion sickness. In which case, do it with Dramamine!

I went through the same exact thing and it lasted months.  I was not lost on ideas to write about but actually getting it done was the issue.  One thing that is starting to help me is that I'm excited about the subject I'm writing about.  Passion is building.  I've also grown in the area's I like to write about by reading about the subjects often, taking action in other ways around my subject of choice besides writing.  This is generating new experiences that I can share with people and it's exciting.

Maybe connecting with your subjects in various ways could help.

You have to limit your distractions, trying to write at home is probably one of the worst place for inspiration because you have all the other things you want to/ need to do on your mind. I agree with trying to write on public transportation or on break at work where you don't have anything else to do at the moment smile

    Hope you find your inspiration!
