   If you were going to write a book and have a best seller, what topic would you choose?
   
   I have had what some would call an above average life, so I have been thinking towards an autobiography but who would give a rats but about my life story? I want to write the best book I can, but I need a topic that people will want to read about, something to rely capture there attention something they will tell there friends about.

   I actually laughed out lout at the 'rat's but' BUT you're right. It would be a good idea to sit down and note all the special things that occurred in your life that people would find inderesting. Then find a catchy title and perhaps write your story out in diary form with only the best parts from your life (very interesting and fun to the very disheartening). I'm thinking that in diary form with subtitles people would be intrigued and be attracted by the easy-to-read style. What do you think? Oh, do begin writing and when you finally decide the what and how, you'll be able to review it and it won't be so tedious.
   
   You know what it's like writing and rewriting the same thing---tiring and discouraging at times. All the best to you----hope I've given you an idea.

      I have actually started doing this and just found out that my initial hub for diary form was chosen to be a HubNugget!  Crystal Clear Raindrops.  Read it and the other 5 nominees and cast your vote for one of us!  Happy hubbing!

   Sometimes the memoir is a better read than a full-on autobiography. The difference between the two is that a memoir only covers one aspect of your life (ie. your whole CIA career or your family or your childhood) Autobiographies cover every single detail of your life that some people might not be interested in.

   I guess it would be making sure your life had something worth reading about, and then focusing on that aspect. Personally I am working on my life story, but centering it around surviving and moving past child abuse. Through research I have seen that people don't really read minor cases of child abuse very much so situations like mine seem to get read a bit more.
   So research the things in your life that you think were worth writing about then figure out if those things are actually read a lot.

   Any "how-to" book. Non-fiction how-to books are more likely to sell better than fiction or autobiographies, especially from "unknown" writers.
