When my head was bald

and I didn't have teeth,

I was reliant on others for sustenance.

I didn't question

and I believed what I was told.

When my head was blonde

and I had only baby teeth,

I was reliant on others for sustenance.

I began to question

But I believed what I was told.

When my head was long

and i had my grown up teeth,

I relied on myself for sustenance.

I had lots or questions

and a mind of my own.

When my head is thin

and I still have all my teeth,

will I rely on others for sustenance?

I'll still have many questions

and a mind of my own.

When my head is bald

and I don't have any teeth,

I'll rely on others for sustenance.

Will I have answers to my questions

and do what i am told?

Steele, thanks for reading and commenting. I'm not much of a math or physics guy but I've heard of the Fibonacci and algorithmic spirals. Not that I could explain them, but I've heard of them... Thanks for reading :-)

Kind of reminds me of a little ditty my poetry professor once quipped: "Babies heads have little hair. Old men's heads are just as bare. Between the cradle and the grave, lies a haircut and a shave." Saw your pic and was wondering if you were familiar with Fibonacci and the algorithmic spiral? Either way, thumbs up!

There are too many questions without an answer and too many answers for only one question. The more you know, the more you realize how little you know and will ever know of life and death and everything it entails.

An interesting read Justin. It seems as though you were only reliant upon yourself during one time in your life, but been reliant on others during the rest. I can understand the meaning of your thoughts and it seems like you're still waiting on something which you might never receive? I don't know exactly what that might be, but I could hazard to guess. I read your other hub with regards to religion and the scriptures you were questioning, which I can only assume has a part in your looking for answers. I've written many hubs to address common questions and sooner or later you'll find them. Nicely written. :)
