Write whatever you want on hubs. That's what it's all about. This is your domain to express yourself. Just keep it legit according to the Terms of Use.
Seems okay. I have just read a hub by Tamcor. It was a story about her 3 lovely kids and their different personalities.
It is O.K. so long as it is in good taste, there isn't any slander, vulgarity, false accusations or lies, as Hubpages would remove the article if they felt it was threatening or harassing. Read the rules to better understand and you will be fine.
In general publishing fiction on Hubpages is fine. Just make sure that you follow the terms of service and that you pass Google's Adsense qualifications. If not, you could wind up with your hub being flagged. Most writers don't seem to be publishing anything overly raunchy though.
It is noteworthy, however, that fiction and poetry doesn't tend to rank as well in Hubpages or Google, and you probably won't make a lot of money in Adsense earnings from fiction on Hubpages.
I have quite a few stories of my own that I have thought about posting as well. However, I am not sure about copyright laws for publishing stories to a hub, and of course, I want to be cautious about that and have never published any. Let me know if you find anything out. The last thing I want is for my short stories to be published in print by Random House under some other authors name.
Of cource we all are full of ears to listen to something that make us think, cry, imagine and a lot more
My first love is fiction writing and I have put quite a bit on HubPages. However, I also don't make any money so I guess it should be based on what you expect to get out of HubPages.
@Barbara Yurkoski: I've worked in the entertainment industry and it is definitely not considered published because it was written on the internet. Seth Godin released an eBook over the internet for free and it was later published as a real world book.
Of course, I already write one in serial form, check it out, and do whatever pleases you
Of course.plus im really bored and i would totally read it =/
I see no reason why you couldn't but there are other websites that you can use to write your stories on and get them noticed by both readers and publishers a like. I might suggest http://authorsden.com for a small one time price, also http://freestorycenter.com, http://fanfiction.com, also try the following websites http://tripod.com, http://writing.com, but they charge according to how many stories you want to submit and post over there. Do a good google search and you will find all the sites willing to publish your stories and http://openfiction.com. These are just some of the sites for creative writers.
I am trying to get serious writers interested in a Hub community writing project! Read my Hub please! You may be interested! In answer to your Q, yeS! Let's Write a Book Together, Hub Community! is the name of my Hub.

Actually the only thing I write on hubpages is humor, fiction, or poetry! I've written thirty hubs in all, three poetry and two humor. So yes, It's okay to write fiction.

I'm having one heck of a time trying to keep up and I'm not enjoying my time on this site like I should be. Trying to keep up with the other authors (I have 21 hubs in almost three years. Pathetic!) Good Lord what do you people find to write about?! Trying to keep up with being penalized. I can...

by Kathleen Lewis 14 years ago
I have a hub that is nearly 3 years old, has a high Hub rank, and generates a fair bit of revenue for HP and myself. It is all original content and has several links to other websites. Each of the links points to only one domain with the exception of two - these two are self-promotion...
