I post my writing to some art communities, so no, I don't get paid. The feedback is generally worth it, though.

I got my start at Associated Content.  I have had my work online there since September of 2008.  They pay a small amount for most article submissions plus a little something per page view.  The starting rate is $1.50 for thousand page views.

Please check out my profile there as well as some of my work.  They accept submissions for prose and slideshows but only pay per pageview on those.

eBooks can be sold on Kindle, eJunkie, Lulu...etc.  I found a niche article maker that you can use to make ebooks to sell on such sites.  You can also use the content on your blogs & other websites.  View my new hub to get more info:  http://hubpages.com/t/1079a4

    Hi Cleanclover.

There's many writer sites that pay out but the best ones that I've benefited from are: helium.com, ehow.com, and associated content.com -- they all pay.
