where do you get your main motivation and ideas from as a writer?
Do you like to write about certain types of stories or will you turn your hand to anything?
I write what I know - pretty much any given issue that affects my life is relevant subject matter to write about.
I write about things that interest me. I find that when I write about things I love, the excitement keeps me going. The excitement helps create great characters and they fuel the story.
I write what I know. But what I read currently is that you should scan through a magazine and look for the ODD things in it not the common things. This is a great way to come up with a new idea, topic or angle to write about.
