How can I increase my skills in writing?
I really like to write articles, poems etc. how can I make myself a better writer? any kind of suggestion and please kindly read my hubs and tell me how you like my writing?
Your best bet is to read.
Published writers are a good indication of how something should read. You don't appear to be a native English speaker and that shows.
So I would suggest that you practice, practice, practice. Invest in a word processor with a spell check facility and pay attention to its suggestions. It won't always be right, but it will help you improve.
The trick is to write everyday, even when you feel you have nothing to write. Read a lot and learn something new each day. You want to be informed as this adds weight to your articles/ writing. Invest in a good dictionary or make sure you have one on your laptop.
Your best bet is to take a course in writing. Start at a local community college.
Writing is a skilled profession and requires training and practice. Funny how nobody thinks a person can "just become" a doctor by doctoring, or a lawyer by practicing law. No, they must go to school, they get trained, and certified. Writers too.
Maybe in the past "just writing" to become a writer might have got you somewhere, But you will develop and improve much much faster in a writing course: composition, creative writing or journalism. All are hard. All are good. Follow your dream but be sensible and get an education, as we do for everything else we dream about. That is, if you are serious.

Why don't people check their spelling and grammar when they write and publish their Hubs?It is understandable when the person is not a native English speaker, but when the author is a native English speaker with some amount of education, it is quite sad.
