Hey guys, I was wondering what catches your attention most when searching for a good novel?
Thanks for the answers and if you would lke while you're here check out my novel :-) http://www.publishamerica.net/product92813.html
For me, it's the author. Not so much a cover person, but I do have my author preferences.
Ok Wickless I completeywould agree, as I am a bigreader as well. With the new authors thugh, how could we build rapport so that we too can become one of our favorites? Thanks for feedback!
I like a novel that feels like a conversation between you and a good friend. I also like to hear ideas that agree with mine.
I like action and adventure with well developed characters and a good mix of technical knowledge. Being an old Air Force flyer I am drawn to adventure series that involve military flying stories with lots of action and suspense. WB
An intriguing intro is a must for me...I love discovering new authors I enjoy, but to get me to read at all the introduction has to strike me as something new, an angle I haven't yet heard in a story. One of my favorites is historically-based novels that feed off of a little-known aspect of the time and place it's meant to depict. I also do well with novels that don't have dramatic covers and bright colors, they just strike me as an advertisement more than anything else.
