Yes, you are absolutely right about that. And would you, by chance, be an Irish speaker yourself?
Thankfully, I hope this is where my enormous Irish clan enters to save me! I'm mostly writing in English, with some Cork slang, but will be taking advantage of . . . well, begging for help, actually, from said relatives and/or other professionals to help. Mostly it involves Gearoid's official Dáil Éireann and Seanad speeches (The goverenment pages already offer English translations to these historic speeches. Do you think they are accurate?)
Also, are you living in Ireland now? What's the status of Irish now? I noted with some humor as I reviewed the newspaper archives attempts to pepper English-written articles with Irish ones here and there. (And also learned that a few relatives were also journalists - so it's in the blood I suppose!).
