What kind of novel are the best to write......inspirational, horror, action......
Simply put, there are no "best" types of novels, and it all varies on people's taste in books and plots.
If you want quick money, however, you can try inspirational , since it's very often that people who are into inspirational literature and books about fixing their life and setting a new mindset, will probably buy pretty much anything.
The best kind of novel to write is the one you want to write, the story that you want to tell. If you're asking what sort of novels sell best to determine what is the best novel to write, you are writing for the wrong reason and will just become a hack. This is fine for most journalism, we become experts at anything for the duration of the article, it is not fine for novelists, other than those that write formula fiction.
Every genre has its readers, supporters, non-supporters, critics etc etc.... Write what you think you can write best.... If you can't decide, I'd say I'd write a mystery novel with a few action elements, some horror events towards the middle and some say, right before the end, but these are just examples... On another note, the protagonist should inspire anyone reading the novel to do anything what he wants in life, even make him cry at times, laugh with him too etc etc ...
