The movies that tip my happy scale are only two in nature. I like action, I am talking swords, guns, jujitsu, karate. and anything that is intense. The other type would be movies that make you think. not turn your brain into mush. The series of movies that are at the top of my list would be the Bourne Series.
Horror and comedy both. Sometimes you wanna laugh but sometimes suspense is a must.
I like just about any kind of movies except for horror or paranormal movies. I get nightmares for weeks after I watch those types of movies. Good question.
I love spy thrillers and bad 70's horror movies...and anything with a shark in it.
I love action movies. The action sequences they show in it are mind blowing and it amazing.
I like a bunch of different types of movies. It all depends on what I'm in the mood for. If I'm having a good day and just want something that will make me laugh, I'll watch a comedy or a romantic comedy. If I'm on a date or just feeling lovey, I'll watch a romance/romantic comedy. If I'm not in the greatest mood or even angry, I'll watch action. If it sounds good and it's something I want to see and I have someone with me so I'm not alone.. lol ... I'll watch a horror. I like them all, just depends on my mood and on the day.
I love to watch French films and definitely romantic-comedies.
Comedies, because I love to laugh. I also enjoy fantasy-adventure films, especially those by Studio Ghibli, like Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. From time to time, I enjoy watching psychological films - the type that gets you thinking.
This is a hard question to answer because I enjoy so many different types of movies.
I love emotional drama and suspense. I want to see a movie where the plot is not complicated. I always take a notebook to the movie with me to write down any quotes that I think I can use later. I transfer the quotes to my journal when I get home. I thought Karate Kid and Titanic were incredible.
My all time favorites are The Wizard Of Oz and Lord Of The Rings. I saw LOTR 25 times in 2002. I was first in line for the sequels.
I am extremely impressed with Tyler Perry and always go opening day to see his movies. Diary Of A Mad Black Woman was phenomenal. His "Madea" character always has a positive message. Tyler Perry is a Christian who was once homeless. God used his talents to put him where he is today.
So, I love comedy, drama, and suspense. The last comedy I saw 3 times because I thought it was hysterical was Bridesmaids. I usually will go to a Nicholas Sparks movie too.
The one movie I went to see where I shocked myself, because I liked it, was Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. I loved Uma Thurman's facial expressions and courage. I will also see any movie with Robert Downy Jr.

What is your favorite movie genre (drama, romance, comedy, horror, sci-fi, thriller) and why?Maybe it is a combination of a few different themes, but what genre of movie do you generally enjoy and what do you think draws you to that type?

Do you enjoy watching movies outside of your "typical genre"?That is, if you're a woman, do you like action flicks (as I do)? Or if you're a guy, maybe you hate to admit that you enjoy a romantic comedy.

Which movie genre is you favourite? My favourite is comedy without the doubt, but I also like sci-fi and romantic films. Sometimes I also watch action/historical films and drama, but I have to admit I hate horror movies. They simply freak me out... maybe because of Snow White's scary stepmom from...

Why are there so many bad horror movies?I know you could ask this about any genre, but the horror genre has always seemed to me to be particularly bad. I worked in a video store for 13 years and this was always the hardest genre to make recommendations for. Horror buffs (like me) watch horror...
