    A person says, "I can understand it, but I don't know how to put it in words".  What is the problem?

    Is there a writing problem or what?

    My guess would be lack of communication ( trying to find the right words to explain what ever it is ). It is hard for them to choose the right words.

    I think it is a vocabulary problem v.s. a
    writing problem. There are so many writing styles...

    I think the person is saying,"I can understand it, but I don't know how to express it in your own words so that you would also be able to understand what I have understood."

    Communications, and by extension- human intelligence is beat measured by the common understanding of accurate analogy between individual persons. . . .you just haven't realized the proper analogy to solve your particular communication issue, and neither have I.
