James is the son of Zebedee and brother of John. More notably, he is the brother (or half brother) of Jesus.

I think Paul wrote the book of James. I think the book of James is one of the oldest book in the new testament.

IN order to really understand the James that wrote the book of James, you have to study 3 prominent James characters in the N T. There was 1-James of Alpheus, 2- John's brother James who was put to death by Herod in 44 AD, and 3- Jesus' own half brother James whom I believe now was the author. YOU need to search it out if you really want to know for yourself. GBU
