How does someone market a really great idea?
An invention or even my new novel. Do I really need an advocate or agent?
Wow...pretty broad question that requires many questions to answer. You can get answers from my articles and others on HubPages. You do need to do some studying and evaluating. Who, very specifically, needs your product and is your target market? Through what medium are you going to reach them? How are your going to communicate your idea? What are the features and benefits you are going to promote to them? Depending on the product how are your going to distribute it to them. How much are your going to charge and how are you going to get paid? You just gave me an idea for an article...a checklist of Marketing Elements. My hubs have marketing information but I haven't put a check list in yet.
Unless you think you could protect and market your idea yourself, especially if it requires a patent, I would say you would want an advocate.
