If someone had cake, why would they not eat it?
In reference to "you can't have your cake and eat it to!"
that quote really means you can't have something both ways. you have to chose eat or have it, you have to decide. it is like having two girlfriends you have to decide which one you are going to be with because you can't have them both.
Usually those who don't have cake say that. Those who have the cake are busy eating and enjoying it, to worry about that phrase.
cause you eat too much during the meal and you are so full that you can't stand the dessert?
Other than the other answers here maybe they are on a diet or are diabetic.
I love cakes.. so I'll definitely eat my cake too! specially the one you have in the picture. Seriously though, it's what bugslady said.
because may be sometimes you don't have the fork or spoon to eat it with but you don't want to bite from a piece because may be there's no water around to wash your face and hands and you may be you're out of napkins too ))))
