what is the meaning of books are the windows through which the souls look out
I think quotations like this have different meanings for different people. I read this quote with the heart of a writer. When I write, I put my heart and soul into the words on the paper, and those words peer out at the world. For me, the soul in question is my own soul, my thoughts and feelings on whatever the subject may be, and my words are shared with the world through that window of a book...or article or short story...
Then when I read an incredible book, some of the timeless classics, for example, I get a glimps of the soul that went into the book, and I get to peer back in through that same window.

As far as we know there are more people on earth than at any time in history. Are new souls being produced all the time? If so why?

What does it mean when a bird keeps tapping on the window trying to get in?This is a wild bird, not a pet. It is brown with a thin beak and the size of a blackbird.

If you believe in reincarnation as I do, you might believe in what many people call "soul-mates". I'm not sure I believe in soul-mates the way that these people do, though. I don't think soul-mates are people...
