When it comes to books I LOVE classics and things set in late England. My favorite book of all time is Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice but that's just me ^^.
If you like politically inclined books or non-Fiction Id suggest Khaled Hussein's Kite runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, it gives you an arab perspective of afghanistan.
Theres also Sarah's Key which presents a different perspective of the Jewish troubles in France at the time of Hitler's riegn.
Theres also a very nice book called Reading Jane Austen in Baghdad and its an iraqi perspective of the american invasion in 2003.
If your more of a nonfiction person though id suggest The Time Travelers Wife and anything by Nicholas Sparks is a good read. Jodi Picoult is also pretty good (shes also the author of My Sister's Keeper
hope that helps ^^
My favourite book so far would 100% have to be: The Book Thief by Markus Zusack. It starts off a little strange and people don't seem to give it a go but I honestly thought this book was fantastic. It's about a little girl, war, the people in her neighbourhood, her family etc etc. I definitely recommend it, great story
The Greatest Salesman in the World ( I & II )by Og Mandino;and all the books of Mitch Albom (my favorite though is Five People you met in Heaven).
depends on what you like. i love all 5 of Christine Feehans series. i cant choose between them. Her ghostwalker series is based on the military, i really like them.
I love so many books. Lord of the Rings was my fave when I was a teenager.
I like "Master and Margarita" by Russian Mikhail Bulgakov.
Paulo Coehlo "Alchemist".
"Mists of Avalon", "Red Tent" are my recent reads.
That's a hard one to answer, just depends on what you like. My favorites
If You Could See Me Now - Cecelia Ahern
The Lucky One - Nicholas Sparks
The Choice - Nicholas Sparks
The Anita Blake Series - Laurell K Hamilton
The Merry Gentry Series - Laurell K Hamilton
Need by Maggie something. I really like it because it didn't end the way I expected and it left me wanting more. Seeing as how it is a teen romance though, not sure if you would like it XD
The Life Of Pi by Yann Martel. It's a very uplifting book and it will change the way you look at the world. It's a very beautiful story about a young Indian boy lost at sea with a 550 lb tiger named Richard Parker.
Depends on what you like. i like lot of books
1) Harry Potter Series is best for children
2) The Hunger Games this book was really interesting and was really hard to put down.
I like Bible only.
I haven't read it, but I've heard great things about Special Topics in Calamity Physics, by Marisha Pessl. Within the book are a ton of references to other books, so if there's a particular section you are drawn to, there are books implied already that you may also like.
One that I've actually read, though, is "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin; it's a direct precursor to 1984 and Brave New World.

I'm a YA author, so my list gets pretty exhaustive of "favorite books" in the children's world. Among them? ALL of Tamora Pierce's work and Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. Give me a good girl adventure and I'm happy as a clam--and it's work that I'm still pretty...

What are your favorite book series? Not just books, but series. Everything from trilogies to massive works with seemingly 100s of books (think Diskworld or Xanth.)
