If some fairy tales were real stories, which one or two would you imagine could be true tales?
And if you had to choose one or two fairy tales that you feel could never have been real stories, which ones would you choose?
I'd have to say Cinderella because sometimes you can find happily ever after even if you have had a rough life
Many of the fairy tales as told by the Grimm brothers were folk tales gathered from throughout Western and Eastern Europe. Each generation would add to the elaborate nature of the tale, enhancing the inherent warnings. Tales of Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella blessed the piety and gentility of true ladies in the face of disastrous circumstances while tales such as The Little Mermaid were a warning to daring to defy one's own nature and holy law. What tales were true and what tales were not? In all likelihood, a kernel of truth existed amongst every single fairy tale, embellished by bards, storytellers, kings and peasants alike.
Everyone loves a good cinderella story and there are many movie version of this tale out there. Disregarding the magical carriage, dress and slippers, this story happens to people in some fashion.
Cinderella has great potential to be a real-life story. She is treated like a slave by her family and forced to do all the housework etc, and is forced to stay at home. I've unfortunately heard stories of girls and women who are treated in just such a way (in Canada). Some of them get their happy endings, some don't.
If we look at Beauty and the Beast metaphorically, then it could also be a real-life story. The Beast would be any nasty person who is softened by the influences of the person playing the role of Belle.

I hope that I posted in the right forum but my question is how do you find a fairy tale that was made into a movie if you don't know the name.
