Can anyone recommend best activity book for my child, who is five year old?
Dear Sharmila,
I think the best activity for your five year old child would be fillings colours into pictures properly, learning to make friends and play with them and listening to stories. Listening to stories is the most crucial activity at their age. If you are telling your child stories from Panchatantra, Ramayana, Mahabharata and life of great persons right from this age, it would be a great help for his/her personality building in future...Though I have no idea about specific books of activity for kids, yet certainly I can say stories are the best activity for kids to make them build a dreamland for themselves as well preparing them to face difficulties boldly and efficiently..
Regards
Lot of books should be available in your nearest bookstore. Try in Higginbothams.
Magicpot from malayala manorama group is a good magazine for kids. Again you can easily get it from any news stand stall or book store.
In online you can try out Jambav - http://www.jambav.com
Hope this helps.
There are a ton of character specific books (our current favorites are princess, spiderman, and littlest pet shop,) that have color pages, puzzles, and activities. You can get them pretty cheap at places like Target or Walmart. We also really like the "Flash Kids" skill book series. I usually get them online, but Barnes and Noble carries them too. Enjoy!
Activities that involves day to day objects will be interesting for kids. You can look at http://www.arvindguptatoys.com/toys.html. If you need activities that engage them in fun-way yet good tools for learning you can check at our free activity books for children http://miyav.in/free-activity-book-for-children.html
