Can I post an rough draft excerpt of something here, and re edit it and publish it later?
You see I have a rough draft of a prologue of a book I want to write, written down, and I would love to post it here to see how people like it, but the thing is I don't know if its ok for me to write the rough draft here to see what people think, then later re edit it, and publish it in my book. I don't want to get into trouble with anyone. So is it okay?
Ashley, it's totally acceptable to post a draft so long as there is enough text so that HubPages doesn't consider it "substandard". You should try to have 500 words or so, but if you post less, that's okay too. Then you're welcome to edit it later!
Oh its more than 500 words I can assure that. Thank you for the answer. I just don't want to post it here, try to publish in my book, and someone find it thinking I stole it when it is indeed my work.

Do you spend much time re-editing your published hubs? I wonder if my perfectionism is a waste.

Do you edit while writing or once the first draft is done?Do the automated editing of Word or other services cause a distraction to the flow of fingers dancing upon the keyboard composing a work?
