I created my first hub and clicked publish using the simplified option ...since I am new here and not aware what I presumed was a hub page turned out to be a post , horrified at the blunder I made after looking at the tool options I tried editing the blog....I was able to edit the post title and other things but could not find the option to edit the post ...should I create another hub and leave it like that as I need to change my hub URL aswell .Need advice !
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by editing the post. What part are you trying to edit? Text? Graphics? By knowing what you need to edit, it may help me give you a more direct answer without guessing.
Hi thanx sheilamyers
It was the text and i managed to do that but I dont think it got published, but I need a li'll help ..if u cld give me directions it wud b gr8
If you have already published it, then after you edit you go to the top of the page and click "Done Editing". This automatically sends it to be re-evaluated. It is still published.
Hi Thanks @The Examiner
I created a new hub and published but when I go to my profile page , I see 0 hubs ...please tell me where can I see the hub I created ?
Just go to your statistics page and click on the title of the Hub.
Another way is if you are in the edit mode then you go to the top of the page and on the left you will see "Preview". Click on that and you will see what it looks like before you are done editing.
Thanx @The Examiner
after the preview I clicked on publish , I was taken to another window which required a ph verication code ...i completed that and clicked on publish......but now when I go to my profile and look at my hub it has 0 denoted in front....where can I see my post now , it wud b gr8 if u could help .
I forgot to tell you that it is already published. After you look at the Preview, go back to the top and look to the right and you will see an 'X'. Click on that and you will return to edit. Unless you want to edit more you click 'Done Editing' and return again to the stats page. The Hub is published all of this time, you did that a while ago.
When you edit, and preview, a Hub you are correcting or adding to, or removing errors, from an already published Hub.
alkanarula,
I made an error when I explained it before. If you had clicked 'Publish', then 'Done Editing' should not be appearing for you to click. 'Done Editing' means that you have not finished writing yet and have not published it.
When you are in edit mode, go to top of page and see if 'Publish' is in center of page. If it is and you are prepared to publish then this is what you click. After you publish it you will see three new words appear at top of page.
I apologize for confusion.
@The Examiner thank you sooo much , Is there a way I can find out what happened to my hub? I s it published or got deleted as my hub button on profile page is showing 0 results....
Since I cannot see it I cannot tell you directly. You have to tell me what is happening such as, is the 'Publish' button still there? If you are editing it and seeing it, then it cannot be deleted - I can tell you that much.
Hi@The Examiner-1
Can you tell me where on my profile I can find my published or unpublished post ?? If the option is not available on profile page then where can I go and find ?
It is not on your profile page. When you are at the the top of a page, such as this page, see your user name towards the right. Hover above that and see 'my account' appear and click on it. Your statistics page will show up.
Thanx @The Examine-1
I found it and my first post is on air yipeeee !
Actually I did go to my ac several times but didn't scroll down which I did and thanxs to you...pl do go through my first post , your inputs would be appreciated....Though I am an avid blogger but abs new to this platform.Thanx once again !
By the way, the articles on here are not really called blogs but Hubs.
I also looked for your Hub right away but it is still in the 'pending mode'. That means that it is going through the Quality Assessment Process. This is when it is looked over to make sure that everything is OK. It usually takes approximately 24 hours to do this. Since it is your first one it may/may not take longer. You can check on your statistics page by a symbol - two curved gray arrows mean that only you can see it. An 'H' in a black circle means that it is in public view.
Oh thanx ..I am getting used to it ...@The Examiner -1 , I am sorry I am troubling over an over again , I did publish my post about " Look Up " video soon after that I saw the notification " *duplicate ...probably because of the lyrics as they must be the same , but the hub is purely mine Or is that I can not post something that I may have shared on some other website..What
s your advise on this ..for the time being I have unpublished the post..
@The Examiner -1 , I am sorry I am troubling over an over again , I did publish my post about " Look Up " video soon after that I saw the notification " *duplicate ...probably because of the lyrics as they must be the same , but the post is totally mine ..What
s your advise on this ..for the time being I have unpublished the post..
Try this - (I am just guessing since I am not positive of your problem yet) - go to video capsule and click on edit. To the far right near top you will see empty box with saying "Do not show". Click on the empty box and this should put a checkmark in the box. Click on save.
Click on 'Preview' and video should not show, leave 'Preview and return to edit. If video did not show is problem gone in edit? If it is, click 'Publish' again.
Or is it that I can not post something that I may have posted on some other website .
No. You must either erase the other website and wait at least 1-11/2 weeks before publishing it here if that is the problem.
I do not see that you published a hub. I also checked your "my activity" on your profile page and it does not show it is published.
Go to "my accounts" and see if you see your hub on the list.
Also, look at the legend map at the bottom of the "My accounts" page and look at the icons. The definitions for the various icons are there.

She just published it missolive, since she has edited it a couple of times - and if there are any problems - means it is probably still in pending.
Hi Examiner, I hate to be skeptical but the "my activity" log usually shows published hubs regardless if it is still pending. Besides, you can still edit without having clicked "publish".
I hope she gets it figured out.
I know. I realized my error while I was having supper. Will correct now.

Hi, I uploaded two articles this morning. One was entitled 'How to write your life story' and the other 'How to be happy in five minutes or less."How come the one is showing on my profile and not the other? In the past, I've also not had stories that show up immediately. Is there some sort of...

Hi I spent an hour researching online but no one seems to have the answer. On other sites I've been able to post my articles via URL on my Facebook FAN page with the picture, text popping up, but not HUB articles. No problem posting to my FB profile. But with my fan page it comes up with just...

I know that you can choose to display your idle hubs on your profile page, but I don't, because I don't want Google to see them at all and get confused by all those "do not follow." What this means is that my idle hubs are not available for anyone to see, and I have to actively...

It appears that there has been a recent change on my profile page. Underneath the number of published hubs, there is a number of featured hubs. I do not want this to be shown. My ratio of featured hubs is less than 50% of the number of published hubs. My understanding of why...
