Do you mind telling me, how do you copyright your material?
I was just wondering. Maybe I will start doing this too.
Morning EuroCafeAuLait.
I start my hubs in Open Office, edit and then do a Drag and Drop on a split screen into hubpages.
My way of getting the copyright icon is to tip "(" then "c" then ")" and then tip the space bar and you end up with (c) ©. There must be another way but with this © in hubpages I had to copy and paste.
Hope I've been a little bit of help and look forward to comments from other hubbers.

Hi, you can register free at www.myfreecopyright.com
Add your hubs web links to this website including your name/alias.
That way your work is copyright protected.
If you're asking how to make the ©, you can do it in several ways as explained here:
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-cre … s-windows/
I don't actually go through registration. There's really no need since works you create are automatically yours. If you have evidence of a creation date, such as publishing in HubPages, that's all you need as evidence if someone steals your work.
Or am I misunderstanding the question?
I register things I want to protect with the U.S. Copyright office. We're slightly at odds at the moment over registration of one of my books, but in general it's been pretty smooth sailing.

Since last week, my traffic (page views) has been decreasing. Hope not because of someone stealing my hubs as is happening so damned frequent recently. I will be at a lost if I am also a victim as I am not IT savvy. All those reports and DMCA notices to be made. So far lucky...

Does the copyright ©️ name and date that automatically gets generated upon clicking while posting a hub on HubPages give our work the legal protection that actual copyright should give us? In other words, how protected is our content when we post them here on HubPages and what action can we take if...

Two of my articles have a little "c" (copyright) sign next to their titles. Down below it says that means "Possibly copied by someone else". What am I supposed to do about that, if someone copied MY article??? I"m apparently not being accused of copying someone else;s...

As a second part of my question about referencing web pages or copying instructions. As writers are we subject to the copyright laws of the country we write in or the copyright laws of all countries that use Hubs? If this has already been answered somewhere else can you tell me where...

Hi- Ijust created my first hub page today. I am puzzled by the number that appears at the top of the page next to the title. I began entering my poems, and all of a sudden, there was a number 50 by the title where no number had been before. I began a search...
