How much should I charge to write 20,000-25,000 children's Novel?
Hi sorry to bother you with this but I figured you might be able to help since you write the article on O Desk. I have a client on Fiverr that wants me to write a children's novel of 20,000-25,000 words. She wants me to ghost write it and wants to know how much should I charge I'm not sure how much to quote her. If you can help I appreciate it. Much thanks.
First, I thought that is a lot of words for a children's book then I realized at 500 avg words a page it's only about 50 pages. I think that pricing is largely up to you. I always price my work on a case by case basis and work in things like (a) research time (b) typing time and (c) proofreading time. So I'd tell you that you should carefully evaluate the amount of time you are spending and what you can earn hourly and add a bit to that and quote that. If it were me I wouldn't charge less than a grand but that's me
Awesome! Congratulations on the commission! I would be honored just to be offered a small royalty..

How many words should there be in a novel?I am 8,000 words into a novel, and look to top out around 60,000 I think. Is this too long, too short or what? I am thinking of going down the trad publisher route.
