How or What are the Best Ways to Generate Reviews for your Amazon Books?
I have books on Amazon as physical & downloads & they are selling but I have problems generating reviews from customers letting others know about the book they have purchased.
I have offered one of my my books for free whereas it was downloaded many times! Do you have to BUY the book on Amazon before a review can be left?
Are there any specialist ways to get customer reviews or is it just up to the individual buyer to provide a review if they feel like it.
Thank you.

I would contact Amazon and ask them about their Amazon Vine Program. I am a member and review products for Amazon. They send out a newsletter monthly and we pick that we want to review and we keep the products we review. So a lot of book publishers generate reviews that way.
No, you don't have to purchase the product from Amazon in order to post a review of it.
Thank you duffsmom for your information still I have sold more copies but yet no feedback, keeping my fingers crossed.
Regards Dale

I'm sorry to see this, Chris... I did click the button you asked us to click, hope it helps. I really don't understand why he would leave such a negative comment, but people will be people... Best luck in hearing good news from Amazon about removing this comment.

Should traditional newspapers review more indie books? There are plenty of highly acclaimed indie books out there that are not being reviewed by newspapers. Do you think book editors should change their policy?
