Anyone know how to turn spell check on an HP laptop?
My spelling is not so great! Haha, got this here new/used hp laptop and the spell check is turned off, how to turn it on? Bad spellers untie!
The laptop itself doesn't have a spell check feature. To know how to instruct you in turning on such a feature, I would need to know which program you are using (Word, Firefox, etc). Each of program has its own way of turning on the spell check feature.
Thanks RG! On this laptop, I am using old school Explorer! I noticed when I use Word spell check is already on, but still not working here on explorer. For instance, if I misspell the word uniite, it just rides, no underscore!
Not knowing the version of Explorer (IE7?), it's still hard to know what the solution would be, but try this link to download a third party spell checker for 7 and higher. http://download.cnet.com/ieSpell/3000-1 … 08550.html

Is your spelling getting worse?I prided myself as a kid on my excellent spelling. As the years go by it's getting constantly worse. I think it's the fault of Spell Checker, a blessed little program but one that makes us rely on it. Are you having the same experience?

How dependent are you on Spell Check?Seeing made up words and misspellings all over HubPages made me wonder how dependent most people are on spell check. I do just fine checking my own work and using a dictionary (although I know I'm not perfect). I also know there are those who type their work...

I just got a new laptop, and I'm not up to speed with all its features. Seems to me that there's a spell check feature on HubPages that works as you write comments to Hubs, but I'm not seeing that on my new laptop. I do see it while editing or creating a Hub.Thoughts, comments, advice?Thuts, cmts,...

I was looking over someone's profile page the other day and noticed a misspelled word in one of their summaries. It was clear what the author was trying to say so I just moved on to another hub, happily oblivious. Then today, I was writing a new hub and got to the summary part and worried that I...

I just came up with another great idea here folks. what about a spell check feature? i know there's been times i've had to open up various windows and/or tabs to check on how to spell certain big words i wanted to use in some hubs. however, it would be a lot less time consuming if...
