Why did Ginny let Harry name his children with such uninspired names?

James married Lily Evans and they had one child, Harry, who famously defeated Lord Voldemort. Harry eventually married Ginny Weasley and they had three children: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna Potter.

She was a pushover and still starry eyed with the first two and only half so with the last one...

Yes. After so many years of marriage, you start to see things a little different.

You're assuming she didn't have any say or input into the naming of their children. I'd like to think they chose the names together, like any other married couple would.

Yes. I would like to think that, too.

All the the names are homages to those who died protecting the father, so they aren't uninspired. I almost wonder if they had to have a second son in order to not have the firstborn have four "personal" names.

Like Cecelia wrote Luna didn't die, and I wonder why they used Luna's name.

The actual answer is probably because Rowling got lazy and decided to name Harry's kids as if she were publishing the story on fanfiction.net. Personally I've always wondered why nobody was named after people in Ginny's life.

Did Ron and Hermione name their children after Ron's parents?

it is to show that they are a very traditional wizarding family.  for me the oddest thing was harry marrying ginny. like, where did that come from?

The relationship between Harry and Ginny had been developing for years. Even if you only watched the movies it was obvious that one was developing.

From book 2, Ginny had a big crush on Harry.
