Becoming a writer involves three things- reading extensively and quality things, developing a thought process and to be able to express your views in a simple and lucid manner to your audience. If you are trying to be niche specific then read a lot from quality sources, try to link things and develop your own way of thinking about the particular topic and try writing on it in your own words. It's a slow process and as your experience will grow, you will become adept in writing.
