    Never visited Big Sur, but read once a
    cowboy book story that took place in Big Sur.

    On The Road

    I recently started reading "Windblown World: The Journals of Jack Kerouas 1947--1954", which is edited by Douglas Brinkley.

    BUT...at about the hundred page mark I had to put it aside because, although it provided interesting insights, it was too angst ridden for me. I have my own angst, idiosyncracies & creative drives to deal with, thank you very much.

    Never been to Big Sur.

    Never been to Big Sur, but I visited the coffee shop Lowell downstairs from where Jack Kerouac lived. The place was totally unchanged and looked pretty much as it probably did in the late 1940's. They even had those old, clunky white coffee cups.

    Big Sur is a very nice place!

    Desolation Angels is sooo underrated in the canon of Kerouacs works.
