   Hello Raviji!
   Excellent article, which took me back in time to 1969, when Apollo 11 happened. I was in school then, and like everyone else, read every bit of information in newspapers and magazines related to this. You did a wonderful job by writing about Katherine, as people should know about her.

   I remember when this moon landing happened as it was a very exciting time. This is an excellenr article about this brilliant woman, who was probably not paid well. I remember black people on public transportation in northern Ohio at that time, yet I know there was a lot of discrimination still. That is sad part of history in the US. This is another very good article, Ravi.

   I am glad that Katherine Johnson was recognized and applauded for her contributions to the space program while she was still alive.  It was long overdue!  She was brilliant and navigated the racism that persisted back then with determination and grace.

   I am glad to know about the woman, Katherine Johnson who was a very skilled mathematician who beat racism and all kinds of problems she faced and led white men on their way to the moon in the same way NASA sends men to Mars now. She was acknowledged for her great contributions to mankind while she was still alive and that sounds really good. Thank you for sharing this extraordinary piece, Ravi.

    It’s wonderful to know that NASA recognized her talent while working within the confines of cultural norms. She is exceptional in not minding the social constricts and kept on finding ways to share her talent. Thank you Ravi for writing about her and Chitrangada for posting this.
