   It takes courage to trust...You write about a lost courage, a courage of selfishness...I find nothing redeeming in this...Like others have asked: Is this a song..? If so, it is a song of defeat...

   Anyway - It's a poem about survival, escaping an unwelcome past, the courage to face the unknown future.
