Prey for Fire

    You are swimming around,

    in my swirling liquid head.

First you splish then you splash,

and then you turn my fire red.

I just set my boat on fire,

    and lit my last flare.

The moment that I saw you,

    I preyed my last prayer.

I'm drifting in your inner beauty,

you are my one last hope.

Weave for me the length of your love,

and from it braid me a rope.

It doesn't matter you're in the distance,

    and off of my trajectory.

I will swim with endless persistence,

but only if you command me.

    I love this poem!
    The third stanza is awesome!
"Weave for me the length of your love
and from it braid me a rope"---
at once romantic, poetic, and realistic;  quite an accomplishment with words!

By the way, do you mean "pray" instead of "prey"?
