Indeed I do, Christa!
My family is very concerned with two things as far as laundry goes - that it smells good when it comes out of the dryer and that it's clean!!
We found a fantastic recipe for homemade detergent that we all agree is the bee's knees!
I can't remember exact quantities, but here's the recipe:
1 Box 20 Mule Team Borax
1 Box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
1 1LB container of Oxy Clean
4 Bars Phels-Naphtha Soap
Easy as pie to put together also....we leave it in powder form and it works splendidly in our HE washer.
Dump all powdered ingredient into large, airtight container. Shred Phels-Naphtha (I use the smallest side of a regular cheese grater to do this because the soap dissolves better that way). Mix it all together with a great big spoon, gloved hands, or a good shake or three.
We use about anywhere from 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup per load, depending on size and soil level. Smells fresh and wonderful and comes out SO clean.
There are three of us who do laundry and that amount lasts us 3 mos. as a rule.
