How to keep my newly planted frangipani tree on my garden located on top of the mediteranian sea...

I bought 5 plants from polinesian island last year, they died cause of unexpected snow pouring at least 3 times last winter. Your suggestion would be very much appreciated by me. The new frangipany tree I just planted yesterday is 2 meter tall, never produce any flower yet. I have my finger cross on this beauty of my frangipani tree.

In what sort of conditions does frangipani thrive?  You will have to replicate them in its current site.  Plants, ever since they've been here, have slowly evolved to survive in the area where they develop; around the med, areas are subject to hot days and cold, sometimes freezing nights, what is the lowest recommended temperature for frangipani?  Answer and take action on that and it may survive.

Thank you so much for your very good points. Perhaps the 5 frangipani that I shipped from polinesian island had a temperature condition that were much higher temperature than in mediteranian during winter. So they were having problem in evolving so quickly in such a temperature difference. That was my point as well, thats why I got my last frangipani from a local shop where I live.

This is my answer to a HubPages question about how to have success with growing frangipani in a cold area:
Is there perhaps no space to keep the frangipani indoors in a large pot until it looks healthy enough to transfer to outdoors? I'm not sure... read more

The frangipani tree was hardy, taking various knocks from me when I climbed the tree as a kid. It also didn't seem to need much water to survive. Get the best of
