Would you build a safe room/panic room into your new house?

Whether you want to have safety from a storm, cyclone, typhoon, hurricane or twister do you want a safe room built into your house. Or do you live in fear of crime and would love to have a panic room built into your house?

I would have a cellar, but I live on the coast and must take in to account the water table.  I'm not sure about a safe room.  If I did it would double as a prayer room!

A safe area to protect you from the elements or criminals would be a good idea.

Assuming that I had the money to actually build my own new house, then I would probably kill two birds with one stone and have the master bedroom built like a panic room. I hate being woken by silly things like door-to-door salesmen, thieves, and hurricanes anyway.
