my refrigerator and freezer is not cooling. I replaced the tempertator control and the defrost...
control. What can I do apart from a service. Everything else is running.
I had this problem and I had to call out the technician. A fridge is cooled by the surplus cold air from the freezer, so once there is a problem with the automatic system that thaws out any ice build up on the thermostat (located deep behind the back panel on the inside of the freezer in my case), the system struggles to cope... result, the freezer frosts up and the fridge warms up. Not good, but a new part can be quickly replaced by a technician, (when he came out to ours and took out all the contents of the freezer, then removed the cover between the drawers and the electrics, the ice was inches thick on the thermostat, and it took a hair dryer and a chisel to completely clear it so it would work until the new part arrived).
