How soon after planting in a propagator should you thin radish

They were planted less than a week ago but there is already at least one inch of growth showing

Radishes do grow very fast as you have seen, from seed to maturity in around 5 - 6 weeks! I would recommend you thin them slightly when they have developed their second set of leaves and are about 2-3" tall. Once you have done this you shouldn't really need to thin again, just pull the larger roots first to eat, and this will make room for the smaller ones to grow bigger.
Have fun with the growing, radish are a fabulous easy veg to start off with.
