What are some ways to keep animals from digging up the bulbs that I plant?
I have tried planting bulbs (daffodils, crocuses, etc) a few times but I always have a problem with animals digging them up. I need several different things I can try to keep the animals from destroying my bulbs.
Tiny bulbs can be planted in old water bottles with the bottoms cut out... it will prevent things like moles and voles from digging them and moving them. Use bloodmeal in your soil will also help to discourage animals from digging...
Mothballs. This is not a fragrant solution but it has helped to keep the neighborhood cats from using my front flowerbed as a litterbox.
