What is succession gardening?
How does it work for home gardeners?
Good question! I am new to gardening and succession gardening seems to be the best way to utilize the limited time and space allocated to home gardens.
In order to be successful, gardeners need to know the best time to plant certain vegetation from start to harvest. There are going to be periods of time when certain plants are harvested, allowing the opportunity to plant seedlings or plantings to begin a new plant. As a home gardener, this allows us to utilize the available space to its maximum production.
When we alternate (in the same space) the cycle of planting and harvesting one plant to allow the planting and harvesting another, we are showcasing the concept of succession gardening.
