How can I tell if there are moles in our garden and lawn?
You can tell if you have moles because there will be low ridges of disturbed earth running across your lawn. They are caused by the moles' subterranean burrowing habits.
Moles, unlike gophers, leave surface runners across the lawn where they eat earthworms and insects. Their mounds are volcano shaped. Gophers burrow deeper to eat roots, and mounds tend to be flattened on one side and sealed w/ a plug.
