What type of air conditioning system is best for a small house?
Say your house is small, two rooms at the most, what type of air conditioning should you opt to buy?
I would get a wall mounted heal pump. We have one and we notice very little increase in our monthly power bill during the summer when we are using the air conditioner.
Ours is made by Mitsubishi and we have been really happy with it.
This depends on where you live. Out here in Nevada with our low humidity a small swamp cooler does a great job and is fairly cheap to buy and operate. In moister climates a heat pump-like duffsmom mentions-or your traditional window/wall mount refrigerant type will do the job nicely.
If you share you room size with us than it would be easy to decide which one is best for your house window ac, portable, wall etc.
