Have you tried tobacco mixed with water ? put in sprayed/sprinkler can.... Eucalyptus also detracts bugs...Palmolive green dish soap solution sprayed works also..there is also a plant called " society garlic" smells like garlic, but keeps bugs away, especially good around entrance ways....next best thing, a water feature for frogs..best bug eaters ever...

Buy a bag of chewing tobacco and use it to make tea. Spray the tobacco tea on the plant. The stuff is deadly to the little critters.

Thank you!  Looks like I'm going to be investing in tobacco and garlic!
