I always change mine twice a year, when time changes. Did you have an issue that you needed it? My husband also checks it frequently too. Why it would die at that time of the morning I have not a clue.
Ouch! Mine always die when I'm out running around. Then I come home to hearing that beeping noise and worrying that someone came into my house and get paranoid.
It's probably a subclause of Murphy's law which ensures that they do this to annoy us the most when sleeping!
I agree. I kept thinking I could ignore it and go back to sleep but that wasn't working!
ROFLMAO! Yes, that fool "Murphy!" I even wrote a hub about his sub-clauses as they apply to aging! ;-)
The alarm just needed a new battery and started beeping at 3:30 am. I noticed that whenever they need to replaced it is always in the middle of the night!
I tend to agree. Our batteries seem to do this in the wee hours of the morning and when we are really needing the sleep. Better safe than sorry though.
Sorry, but I'm laughing right now. I remember when my son was home one summer during his college break, and the doggone thing went off in the middle of the night. I couldn't get it to stop - and I couldn't get the cover off. Frustrating.
Depends when you first installed it, and the energy it consumes
I have a theory that is just a little bit paranoid. I believe the engineer who designed them is bored and angry and included a small timer/sensor in modern batteries that cuts the power off at 3:30 am or at the most inconvenient time possible. I have no way of proving this so it is just my suspicion. It just sounds like something an engineer would do for fun, based on the ones I have met so far.
It's the alarm's last ditch effort to see if the random beeps will not only wake you up but insure you are able to get out of bed and deal with it. Pure genius!
It sure seems that way, doesn't it? Damnably annoying, to say the least!
It's because they work hardest for you when you sleep and can't defend yourself. They just wanted to remind you how watchful they are...and want to be.

Do people know when they are going to die before they die?Recently a community leader died 'suddenly'. During the week since her death I have talked with individuals who was told by the deceased that she was 'dying' or that her life work had ended and she was going home. Of course nobody paid...

We all know how to recognize life, and death. I have heard that modern medical science does not understand why we age and die. Cellular structure and reproduction "should" theoretically go on and on. So why does it not?

Why do you think famous celebrities like Whitney Houston of today die the way they did? This simply dawned on me as I watch the funeral of Whitney today. Celebrities like her though may be at the spotlight and stardom we can't help but wonder why they seem to die "unhappily." ...
