Where's the best place for an English ivy houseplant?

Living-room or kitchen? Near the window or away from the window?

English ivy is a fairly versatile plant that can withstand a lot of abuse. It should get some filtered light and doesn't necessarily need to be placed in the brightest area of your home. It can be placed near a window, but not directly in the sunlight. I had an English ivy live for many years on a shelf near a window but out of direct sunlight. Sadly, it did not survive a run in with the cat and a severe case of drought. I;m just clarifying so you don't think it was because of the light. Good luck! smile
