Is town the same as suburb?

    Is town the same as suburb?

    I'm buying something online from overseas, and have run into a term I'm not quite sure of. When it asks me for my "town", does that mean suburb, or city?

    A suburb is a separate residential community within commuting distance of a city, and a town is a settlement larger than a village but smaller than a city. Since you are ordering something they are simply trying to get a mailing address so that they can send you the things that you ordered. If your mailing address doesn't include something that they are asking for then just leave that space blank. They would just like to have the information to where they can mail something to you. I hope you get what you ordered okay.
