What kind of plant is this?
It's growing in the grassy patch behind my patio fence. I'm not sure if it's something to be worried about or if it's some kind of harmless wild vegetable or something. It has large, flat, spindly leaves that look very symmetrical. I haven't seen any types of flowers on it yet. the stems of these leaves range from green to purple. Here is a picture below.
Looks like some form of Geranium (that's a genus name. Common name is cranesbill). It is a common flowering plant, not harmful at all. Just pretty. If that is in fact what it is. I agree that it is a cranesbill geranium. Pink varieties like the sanguineum are most popular.
