    So, when the power goes out, how are you going to unlock and open the gate?  To me that would be a huge liability in an emergency.

      Wouldn't the default setting of an electric gate be unlocked? hmm Unless it had power.

      I cannot find any advantage of installing an electric gate, unless it is electrified so as to keep out burglars. Then again, you would have also WARN just average people not to touch it. lol

      There is a manual release for opening the electric gate opener when the powers out.

    You can install a high security lock for your house.
    It is really safe and worth your money.
