Data entry job is one of the few jobs that most people will fit in for because it does not require much skill, but unfortunately the number of companies employing online data entry workers is low. This makes it difficult for people to get employed as a data entry worker. The alarming rise in the scam websites that claim to employ data entry workers also makes the situation much more complicated. After doing a thorough research, I was able to find five genuine and authentic websites that employs data entry workers. Please your comments on how you fill about these websites is welcome, and I hope to update this article as I find more genuine websites employing data entry workers.

Keyforcash: I found this website to be one of most reliable website employing a data entry worker. Individual data entry worker is called a keyer and one is required to pass an assessment test before one can qualify to work for them. This assessment test is in form of a typing work, and it is mainly to determine the speed level of individual keyers. The more you are fast at typing the more your chance of getting employed. Therefore it is very crucial for one to be very fast when completing this assessment test. Keyforcash employs both U.S. and non U.S. citizens. It is free to work for Keyforcash.

oDesk Corporation: oDesk Corporation is a company that outsources different types of projects, and this includes data entry jobs. One benefit of working for oDesk is that one has access to many other forms of projects. Both U.S. and non U.S. citizens can work for oDesk Corporation. It is free to work for oDesk Corporation.

Freelancer.com: This is also similar to ODesk Corporation. One has the opportunity to select from their projects (which also include data entry projects). Individual worker can bid for any projects, but the maximum of project one can bid for per month is ten, unless one wants to upgrade one’s account, and this will attract a fee. Both U.S. and non U.S. citizens can work for freelancer.com, and it is also to them.

DionData: This is also a U.S. Company that employs a data entry worker. They require each data entry worker to be able to type at least 60 words per minute before he/she can be employed. They also require worker to be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. They are open to U.S citizen alone. It is free to work for DionData.

CloudCroud Servio Inc. : CloudCrowd website uses a facebook application, and anybody who wants to join must have a facebook account. CloudCrowd allows workers to pick from the lists of projects on their page. It is usually necessary to pass a credential test before one can work for them. Apart from the data entry jobs, they also provide editing, translation, writing and research jobs. Currently, their data entry section is empty, but they should fill it with projects very soon.

Finally, one should be very careful with websites that ask one to pay an amount before being given a data entry jobs. A reputable website should be able to provide data entry jobs free of charge.
